Many people search sites such as Zillow/Trulia, Realtor.com, Landwatch to find information on homes, and land. While these sites can be informative your best source of information is the listing broker. 3rd party sites obtain information on listings through an agreement with local Multiple Listing Services. However, sometimes details on some home features may not translate correctly from one system to the other. For example, if a home has 2 full bathrooms, and 1 half bathroom that information may translate as 3 bathrooms. On the surface that could lead a person to conclude that there are 3 full bathrooms which is not correct. So, while the hundreds of 3rd party sites are helpful, contact me for complete information on my listings, or others that you want to know more about.
Realtors are also required to update changes in status i.e. under contract, closed, withdrawn in the M.L.S. within certain time frames. While 3rd party websites “should” be current I can also confirm the status of my listings, and properties listed with other firms when I assist you in your search for a home, or land. I also personally update the status of my listings as they occur on my website.
