I found my way to the mountains of North Carolina in the early 1990’s, finding the area a great destination to escape from the city. Having worked in a high stress career in Miami (Dade County), and central Florida for 25 years the mountains offered me such relief from traffic, loud noise, bright city lights, and crime. I was simply drawn to the area of Madison County and knew that I would retire there.
Retiring at a relatively young age in 2008, I moved permanently to the Spring Creek community near
Hot Springs in 2010.
Too young to sit in a rocking chair all day… even though the scenery is enticing with it’s
beauty and serenity,
I obtained my North Carolina real estate broker license, and after working for another firm for two years
I formed Only in the Mountains Realty in 2012.
My “second” career is very gratifying working with buyers and sellers in positive situations vs. my many less than gratifying experiences in my previous law enforcement career.
Through my years of operating Only in the Mountains Realty I have also had the pleasure of becoming friends with buyers who have joined the community… after the purchase transaction closed!
I have a strong attention to detail, a creative mind, and I am honest and sincere
in working for and with my clients.
For 25 years I took pride in my law enforcement career, and was entrusted to supervise
a state law enforcement agency field office in the capacity of a lieutenant.
You can place your trust in me as your listing or buying real estate broker.
In my spare time I have enjoyed traveling to Southeast Asia including Thailand and Laos.
I have a passion for exploring the culture in Laos where I also honor a pilot missing there from the Vietnam War. I also support veteran organizations.
Also, outside of “work” most important to me is spending time with my grandchildren when time permits.
In case you’ve ever wondered why real estate brokers have their photo on their business cards, or maybe even on a car sign…
I really don’t know the reason. However, I have added self photos on my website with the thought that maybe it will help you relate to me. I also know of people that have refused to work with a broker because their photo wasn’t on their website.
